In-Depth Trauma Therapy for The Tender-Hearted
Somatic therapy for recovering people pleasers, overthinkers and highly sensitive souls in St. Paul, MN
Go beyond traditional talk therapy.
Get to the root.
Do you ever feel like…
-

You’re alone in the world
You don’t feel the closeness that you suspect others feel... Even when you’re around other people, you feel a disconnect.
-

A weirdo, or different from others
It’s easier to hide your real self–like a mask of normalcy. You feel afraid to be the real you because then you really might end being as alone as you feel.
-

You ignore your wants and needs
It’s easier to just try to manage on your own. Maybe you’ve done it for so long you don’t even know anymore.
-

You have insight without change
You don’t want to keep venting about the same things–but you don’t know what else to do.
-

You're tired of your brain overthinking
You want to live your life. Love and be loved. Do the things you care deeply about without the constant second-guessing.
It is possible to have close relationships and be your authentic self.
To give and receive.
To feel freedom from your own self-doubt.
To feel truly known for all of who you are.
To love and be loved in return.
It just might take trying something you haven’t tried yet.
Meet Your Trauma Therapist, Sarah
I’m a trauma therapist, a social worker, an activist, a lover of poetry, and a deeply curious human.
Have you ever been in a therapy session and wondered what you were doing there? While I am gentle in my approach, you can expect our work together to have a clear path towards your goals. I am 100% here for your growth and transformation.
Therapy draws those who might be:
Are a recovering people-pleaser (or aspiring to be one!)
Feel things deeply or identify as highly sensitive
Grew up with a critical or emotionally distant parent
Are a trauma survivor
Are a creative, an outsider or a change maker
Are part of the Queer/LGBTQIA+ community
Sound like you? Then you are my people. And I might be a great fit as your therapist.
Last night as I was sleeping, I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that I had a beehive here inside my heart.
And the golden bees were making white combs and sweet
honey from my old failures.
-Antonio Machado, from “Last Night As I Lay Sleeping”
